On the nose you’ll find red fruits like raspberry and cherry, with mushroom, baking spice and earthy notes, hints of flowers and spice. Bright acidity lifts the medium body of fruit and silky tannins lead to a long smooth finish.
From the famed Las Amigas vineyard in Los Carneros, Napa Valley, “head office” for quality Pinot Noir in California. The ocean influence moderates this micro-climate and the San Pueblo Bay fog cools the fruit, leading to more balanced acidity.
Only 100 cases produced. We used 3 different yeast strains for 3 separate ferments of this Pinot Noir. The three all showed their own unique characteristics in the glass so they were blended together for an incredibly elegant and balanced Pinot.
Food Pairing Notes
This wine is highly versatile for food pairing due to it’s slightly higher acidity and lower tannins. Simply prepared duck, chicken or pork with mushrooms and roasted potatoes.
